  • What is Denimolite?
Denimolite is a sustainable materials company that transforms denim waste into high-quality composite panels and products for various industries, including fashion, interiors, and design.
  • Where is Denimolite based?
Denimolite is based in the UK, with production and research facilities dedicated to sustainable material innovation.
  • How does Denimolite contribute to sustainability?
We collaborate directly with fashion brands to repurpose denim off-cuts and post-consumer waste. This approach helps reduce landfill waste and provides an eco-friendly alternative to traditional materials like wood and plastic. Our unique process, unlike municipal recycling, allows us to incorporate all types of waste denim, including stretch denim, which is notoriously difficult to recycle and commonly found in fast fashion garments. We exclusively use bio-resin in our material. A key component of epoxy, epichlorohydrin, is manufactured using renewable plant-based Glycerol in place of petroleum-based propylene. Additionally, the raw materials going into our bio resins are co-products or waste products of other industrially important processes which means they do not compete with food sources or displace food-based agriculture.
  • What products does Denimolite offer?
We produce composite panels and other materials made from repurposed denim waste, suitable for applications in furniture, retail displays, accessories, and more.
  • How durable are Denimolite materials?
Our composite materials are designed to be highly durable, lightweight, and versatile, making them an ideal alternative to traditional materials. Check out our Data Sheet for mechanical properties - or order some samples and see for yourself!
  • Are Denimolite panels customizable?
Absolutely! We can customise the thickness, size, shape, finish, and colour of our materials. Just for fun, we mentioned that our colour options are limited to blue, but in reality, the colour is determined by the fabric we start with. Please reach out with your ideas, and we will do our best to meet your industry or project requirements.
  • Where does Denimolite source its denim waste?
We collaborate with fashion brands, manufacturers, and textile recycling initiatives to collect and repurpose denim off-cuts and waste materials. We also accept donations, so you know your old pair of jeans that now has slightly too many rips in the knee... you know where to send them!
  • Does Denimolite work with fashion brand and designers?
Yes, we partner with brands and designers to help them manage textile waste and incorporate sustainable materials into their products and designs. Most recently we partnered with E.L.V. Denim London - we are proud to work together in collaboration, diversifying their sustainable off-cut management.
